Privacy
& Security
IR Courses, Inc. is dedicated to the protection of
your privacy and the security of any data you transmit to our website.
Privacy
IR Courses, Inc. does not collect any user information when anyone views
our site. We do not use "cookies" and will not set any cookies
on your browser. IR Courses, Inc. does collect registrant information
when an on-line registration is made. The collected information will not
be sold. The only uses of the data are purely for registration, and we
will add registrants to our annual mailing list. This simply means that
former participants will receive a single announcement of our courses
to be held at Bowdoin College each year.
IR Courses, Inc. does not send unsolicited e-mail.
Our internet hosting service, Hostway, does collect computer addresses
simply for statistical analysis. That is, when our site is browsed, Hostway
records the address of the computer and then provides us with a statistical
analysis of where browsers are located. This information is very restricted,
and we do not have access to the actual computer addresses. The statistical
information is presented as a function of geography, for example, how
many U.S., Canadian, or European computers have accessed our site.
Security
All credit card transactions and registrations are completed through a
service run by Verisign as well as American Express and BankofAmerica. These
are commercial credit card collection services and they maintain 128-bit
encryption on all transactions. Your browser will indicate that a secure
connection has been established by displaying a key or closed padlock
in the border of the browser window.
IR Courses, Inc. is not given your credit card number. This information
remains with the collection services. This is part of the security procedure,
and it serves to protect our participants.
If you have any questions about our policies, please do not hesitate to
contact us.
